I have a 575volt milling machine and want to convert it to 220volt, what are my options and which is the best one?
Thanks

Single phase, 3 phase? Hoursepower?
Are their any other wiring options available directly?

Do you have various voltage /taps, what do you have(manufacturer/model)?

There are two things to consider: the motor and the control system.
I'm assuming 3-phase.
If the motor is a standard ANSI frame, replace it with one with the correct voltage. If the motor is a special frame, get a quote from a rewind shop to have it converted to your voltage.
The machine probably has a class 2 transformer to step down the 575 volts to the control system voltage. (Typically 120 or 24 volts) You may have to replace this transformer.
