Hello.

We have had this Emerson fan for 7 years, and now when it turns on, there is a hum. The more you increase the speed of the fan, the louder the hum.

Again, it is a hum, not a wosh... so I do not think it is the blades. Can there be something wrong with the motor, or has the electrical connection gone bad?

What model Emerson fan? Possibly a bad flywheel.
