I got a 60-day notice to move, I moved out in the first month of the 60-day notice. Now the landlord gave me a 3-day notice to pay or quit, and is telling me to pay for another month of rent after I moved out in the first 30-days of the 60-day notice. Is this legal in the state of California and I haven't even signed a rental notice saying I even lived there. Does anyone know the law about this problem? Thank You

In CA you are permitted to leave before the 60 day are up, but you must provide the landlord with a written 30 day notice to do so. Failure to provide such notice would make you liable for additional rent.
