A human hair has a thickness of about 70 m(the one that is slightly bent and thin) m----what is this in (a) meters and (b) kilometers?

How would I go about this?

The 'm' is microns.

1 micron = 1.0 × 10-6 meters

So 70 microns = 0.00007 Meters

Meters x .001 = kilometers

This is simple conversions within the metric system.

The hair is 70 micrometers.

So how many pennies are there in a dollar? And if there were 2 dollars that be how many pennies. This problem is that simple.

You need to look for the conversion between micrometers and meters.

Then once you have meters, use the conversion to kilometers.

I won't do this for you. Sounds like homework. Try it and post your answers.
