Hello

I am having trouble with installing a new thermostat. I have an electric air and heat unit. I purchased a honeywell that matched. The only problem is that my wiring, which is aluminum has only 3 wires and the honeywell shows 5 wire connection. What do I need to do?

Sorry but I think you need to get back with model numbers, colors of wires, what is connected to what, type of system, etc for the best answer.

Electric heat is a bit unusual and the type of wiring is a bit different than the typical gas,oil systems, and cannot make any assumptions.

Also, just to be sure, what is the voltage rating of the stat? 24 volt? Many electric systems use line voltage 120 v stats.
