I didn't say anything about divorce either - in fact, I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't see the word "divorce" in this entire thread. Look at my answer(s) again.
No, if he's an illegal he cannot get a US passport. I understood this question every time you posted it here and on every other thread.

All you can do is try, so much will depend on even which clerk takes your info. Normally they will require another form of ID,
You do know that getting married will not insure any citizenship and he could be deported even if married.

mama4111 disagrees: i still see divorce in there "don't go online and prepare your own divorce papers"
First, there are rules regarding using the site rating system. I strongly suggest familiarizing yourself with them prior to using said system.
Secondly, Judy's comment about divorce is part of her signature. It has absolutely nothing to do whatsoever with you, your question or your illegal boyfriend. It's left on every thread she posts on, just the same as my signature is.
Ratings aside, you're going to want to be very careful in this situation. I have a close friend who married an illegal - he ended up getting deported. Her life was absolutely turned upside down. She hasn't seen him in nearly 3 years; her credit has gone down the drain because she can't afford all of the bills without his income. He doesn't help her financially and refuses to give her a divorce because he thinks she's going to help him obtain citizenship. But that's just my experience with it.

That is my SIGNATURE - it's below the line; it's on every post I make; it has nothing to do with you. The line about how a man treats his dog doesn't have anything to do with you, either.
You gave me a red disagree for bad legal advice because you can't figure out how to use the site?
You may want to read the rules.
And, again, the US will NOT give a passport to an "illegal," no matter how long he's been here.
For your info - this is the end of the message and where my signature starts.

And once an illegal crosses the radar things can change very, very rapidly. I wonder how this person has been working for quite a period without a SS number. Also, how does an illegal pay taxes? I really don't know. I think that part is not part of this thread and also a question for the Immigration experts.
