Among the challenges most small business owners face is relactance by some customers to clear their depts.I am one of them.How can I handle this kind of customers without causing upsets?

You can't.

You can collect your money, however, if you sue them in small claims court.

Hi, it is advisable to check the customer's credit rating before dealng with them. If their credit rating is low insist on payment up front or start with a small sale to see how they pay.

Try not to start the situation to begin with.

Give an estimate before providing your service, get the customer to sign an agreement to pay.

If your customer is an on going account... donot provide a second service from your company until the previous payment has been cleared... I don't mean verbally.

Think about what sort of customer you wish to serve... check out a bit of their back ground, are they reputable, good payers, on time, true to their word, and so on.
