Ford 6.0L diesels are known for various problems, usually associated with the turbo failures. Bad heads, sounds like somewhere in it's life it may have been run overheated. Take it to another technician for a second opinion before you spend lots of money on it.

Burn it!! You have no idea what kind of problems you are about to have with the 6.0 motor. Let me name a few

1. Egr cooler and oil cooler will have to be replaced soon
2. You will have injector faults, and by the way they cost $480.00 per injecter (7) injecters total.
3. Cat. Converter will go shortly as well

How do I know this . I have 20 in my fleet, and by far are costing me more money than they are truly worth.

If you want my opinion pay someone $1000.00 to burn it to the ground.
