I was wrongly convicted of an attempted murder in 1991. I did ten years in prison before my conviction was overturned and vacated by the Indiana State Supreme Court. I was blessed with a job upon release, but every time employers run a check on me "Murder" comes up on my arrest record. What can I do to get this removed?

Have you contacted the IN supreme court and asked why this has not been expunged from your record?

Hello big:

Once data reaches the main stream, it's never going to be recalled.

I'd make sure that you explain your situation beforehand and have some documentation with you.

I know it's not going to help much..

No, I didn't think of that. Thanks. I'm going to try that Ave. I talked with a lawyer on the phone today and he was saying that it depends on the circimstances surrounding the case as to whether something can be done. He was also telling me about some kind of petition one can file that will only allow law enforcement to see what happened. I got to figure something out. This isn't right.

Yeah. It' messed up that they can ruin your life with their mistakes. I did ten years for a crime I did not do. My conviction was vacated but it looks like I may be stuck with the arrest showing up. It comes up "Murder" and the victim didn't die. It's some bs.
