Hello danahi25

Once more you received a reply without explanation. As this is the homework HELP board, let me explain it to you :

The posted number sequence question data is : 5 + blank x 4 = 41

Always multiply before adding or subtracting, so : 5 + (4 blank) = 41

Now deduct at both sides of the equal sign 5, so : (4 blank) = 41 - 5 = 36

Now divide both sides of the equal sign by 4, so : (4 blank)/4 = 36/4 ---> blank = 9

Check :

5 + 9 x 4 = 41 ---> 5 + 36 = 41 ---> So blank is indeed 9
