HP Pavilion Laptop and the keyboard doesn't work in MS products - does work in other products. MS Word says the document is locked from editing - tried the windows logo and "L" key and tried holding down the shift keys together - still same result - any thoughts?

Id check that the keyboard is set to Standard U.S 101 keyboard in the device manager or keyboard settings. I've seen some viruses or programs alter this setting. Espically if trying to axcess a website in another language... it just doesn't recognize the keyboard settings
