I need help finding my dad. I have had a heart to heart with my mum but she won't tell me anything about him. I last saw my dad was when I 4 years old I'm now 25. I have not seen him for a lot of years,and I would like to get to know him.please help.

The first thing you would need to do is have a first and last name and an approximate age. Of course, it would be very helpful to have an approximate location as well.

My dad name is roger smith his last known address was 1 grayshott rd headley down bordon hampshire. His must be 50s or 60s I really don't know

There are many resources on the internet to help you find a person. Are you in the US? If so, US Search will give you a detailed profile on a person for a small price.

If you can not find any of that information on your own, you can hire someone to help you. With the information you have, a trained investigator could most likely help you find him.

Check it out. It is the equivalent of the US Search I had mentioned before.

One point worth mentioning is, that regardless of what happened between your parents, your father has probably moved on and is in a new relationship. He may not want any possible problems children from an old relationship may bring.
