Unless there is a prohibition on overnight guests in the lease, there should be no problem. However, the landlord may have a say here. Lets look at one reason the landlord may object.

Do you pay utlities on a separate meter or as part of your rent? If its part of your rent, then the landlord may object because this will increase the cost of the utilities with two people using them rather than one.

So, if that'ts the case, and the landlkord is objecting, I would offer to up the rent a little.

When you state "share," do you mean she is going to be living with you? If so, I recommend you read the lease. I suspect there's a clause that says you'll need to notify the landlord. Look in the lease. No one can authoritatively help you until you know what's in it. I know it's boring but you'll find all sorts of interesting stuff there. (Uh, interesting to me anyway.)

There's a chance the lease says that any additional tenants will need to go through the same checks as you did - credit and criminal background checks, etc. As a landlord I wouldn't raise your rent just because a second person was living there. But if someone moved in who turned out to be a violent criminal, I would be pretty upset.
