Hello,

I came to US on May 28 on H1B visa through a consultant in CA but I didn't got any salary from him so I got a permanent job and got my H1B transferred to another company in last week of September. I got paystubs copy from consultant (which were never cashed) and sent them to embassy for transfer too.

Q1: Now I have W2 form current employer but previous employer says "there is no W2 from their side" and sent me an email about that. Can I file return with my taxes using current W2 or will it have any impact?

Q2: As current W2 is very simple, Can I file through online resources or through a CPA?

Please suggest

Regards,
FG

Thanks for replying..

My simple question is I entered US in June but have no W2 till September bcoz of no salary.. but I am working from October.. So

#1 Can I file tax using the W2 from Oct-Dec ?
#2 Will there be any problem for the months I don't have W2?

Thanks!

1) Yes, you can.

2) No, there will be no problem.

I am trying to file for h1 transfer but I was on bench for 5 months and only have w2 for three months, will it be an issue for me or they can ask me for w2 or no ?

If you earned and received income in 2009, you should get a W-2 for that income.
