I have a painting That was painted by someone by the name of Riggs who apparrently studied in New York and Paris and developed a unique abstract expressionist style of vibrant color and heavy impasto for a sculptural feeling. Apparently he has had one-man shows in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Paris. I am wondering about his history and Life as an Artist. The painting is my Grandfathers he bought it in the early to mid 1970's. Is there a demand for his art.

Hi, thomassharrah!
Does the work that you have look anything like those that you might find on pages of the following search? If so, which ones, please?
Thanks!

Dear Clough I looked and didn't see anything close this painting seem's to be unusual in the sense it has an Inca or aztec type of idol in the center with many others outside of it and they seem to pop off the canvas or seem like they are coming out of the painting it self it does have a unique artist signature bottom right no year

Hi again, thomassharrah!
Would you be able to post an image of the painting and also a close-up of the signature here? We don't guarantee results, but we can try!
Thanks!
