Calculate the amount of pure substance present (in moles) of a 10.00 kg bag of table sugar (C6H12O6)
The answer is supposed to be 29.21 mol, I can't seem to get this answer. Can someone give me the formula used? Thank you:o

Molecular Weight of C6H12O6 is 6*12 + 12*1 + 6*16 = 180
So, with 180 grams/mole
10,000 grams / 180 grams per mole = 55.56 moles.
Unless someone's pulling your leg.
To get 29.21 moles from 10.00 Kg the molecular weight would have to be
10000/29.21 = 342.35 g/mole (1.9 times as much). So, unless the formula is different from that stated, the "answer" is wrong.
