Thyself has to go to a Police Station personally or hire an Attorney - one is free and neither one will keep you out of jail if there are warrants.

Some states have web sites that list court proceedings. Or have a friend call the sheriff's office or police station if you fear being locked up.

This must vary be State - in my area the person has to go to the Police Station WITH ID - or be an Attorney - a third party cannot get the information nor is it given out over the phone.

In Ohio this information is not available on the web nor via the telephone. One must go in person to the police or sheriff's office and inquire (toothbrush optional) or hire an attorney to inquire. The police don't like to tip off the wanted person that they are wanted until 4AM when they come to their door and yell surprise, you're it.
