I am 18 years old and dating a 15 year old in Florida. The relationship is not sexual. Her mom found out about me and said we couldn't date. Now she says we are looking at each other and talking too much and she found out we have been talking on the phone and texting and emailing after she said we couldn't. Now she says she will press chares if she finds out we are talking again in any way. Can she do that? Does it matter who contacts who?

Yes she can. You are an adult, this girl is a child. It's best to not contact this girl. There are plenty of girls on the same maturity level as you. Get out and live an 18-year-old's life.

Yes in Florida you can get into trouble, the child ** and this is a minor child ** parent told you not to contract the child, You as a adult continues to do so.

So even without sex, merely going against the parents demand, you risk legal trouble.

Remember when they arrest the sexual peditors, they don't actually have sex with the child, they merely contact them on the phone or internet without even physcial contact, just the intent to do so

I disagree with my fellow experts. I suggest that there's NO criminal conduct if you're together, and I think the cops will tell her to get lost if she call's 'em.

I see it as custodial/parental interference on the part of the adult - and I see the adult being criminally charged.
