Hello,

I went the whole winter without heat and I'm selling my house soon so I figure now would be a great time to replace the broken T-stat... all I know about my heat/air is it is all electric... this is the old setup

white = W2
brown = E
Orange = O
yellow = Y
RE = R
black = C
green = G

My goal is to replace the old digital one with a new inexpensive digital one

I will gladly any questions... please tell me what to do... Home Depot is no help at all.

You will need a thermostat intended for a 2-heat/1-cool heat pump system. The wiring should be pretty simple, as the terminal designations you listed are fairly standard. Be sure to follow up the wiring installation by checking the instructions for setup options.

Lux PSPH521 Looks to be a programmable tstat,, you are spending more money than you really have to,, 2heat//1 cool non-programable would work and not be as expensive

Lol,, NO way. Its funny you said that I was at a friends shop just the other day and he had a hunter tstat laying on top some papers using it for a paper weight. I told him that was the first time I had seen a hunter stat do something useful
