You notice a water balloon fall past your window. You estimate that it took the balloon about t seconds to fall the length of the window and that the window is about y metres high. Suppose the balloon started from rest. Approx. how high abovethe top of the window was it released?

Please answer in terms of t,y,g and numerical constants.

Thanks in advanced!:rolleyes::)

You need to use kinematics. I will not do you homework for you but I will give you the blue print, on how to solve this

1. Use the kinematics formula with a displacement component
2. Write that formula in terms of t,y,g

3. Use a very simple kinematics formula which includes Vi(zero when it was dropped) Vf(this Vf is the Vi of steps 1 and 2)

This gives you ti-t top of window

The rest I leave up to you
