I need to make up at least two problems finding inaccessible distances and angles. These must be real life examples including sine,cosine, tangent, right triangles, angle of elevation, etc. They must not too complicate; I'd infinitely grateful I I can get them solved.

Suggestions:

Figure out the height of a building by knowing the height of an adjacent building/tree/pole and measuring their shadows.

Figure out the angles required to cut corners of a crown molding. For extra credit, figure out the angles when the wall is at something other than 90 degrees.

Figure out the height of the "ceiling" (the bottom of the clouds) by shining a spotlight or laser vertically onto the cloud. I'll let you figure out how to do it.

Find the distance across a river by establishing points on your side and measure angles to an object on the other side.
Something like that.
