I remember this show from sometime in the 70's or 80's. There was this elf that shot rapid fire arrows. Seems like there was something about a stone (maybe green). It was live action. This is all I can remember. I really hope someone knows what this was, it has bothered me for years and will continue to do so until the mystery is solved. The show probably sucked but, I was a kid at the time and remember thinking it was really cool!

Could be The Archer: Fugitive from the Empire. He wasn't an elf, but his bow did have a big gem set in it.

Thank you so much for trying to answer my question but, I just checked out the archer: fugitive from the empire and, that ain't it. Here are some additional details I have remembered. The elf was not the main character. He was like part of a team or like became a member of the quest. The way he fired the arrows was really neat, he would in one motion draw an arrow from the quiver on his back, load and draw back the bow, release, and repeat. It was really fast but it was like filmed in slow motion. The show I remember having a lot of fog. I think the elf dude wore like grey robes(maybe). He was very vulcan looking, similar hair and all. I can't remember if the stone was just a green colored rock (cause I can kind of see that) or if it was all glowy like some mystical gem (I can kind of see that, too). Please keep trying y'all, it would be great to finally put this to rest.

The Elf sounds like: Hawk the Slayer (1980) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080846/)

Well, by god! I do believe that is it! Its not exactly how I remember it but, all the right stuff is there-glowy green rock, rapid fire vulcan looking elf. I don't remember Jack Palance and there are some other things that don't seem exactly right but, that's what 29 years and only seeing it once will do to you. Thanks again.
