Dear Friends,

I am finally settled in my new apartment in Assisted Living... have to figure out how to change my phone connection to local dial-up numbers... can't afford to dial up on my old connection numbers which are way far away.

So, Obama's doing great despite the crazy Confederate Party, n'est pas?

But I haven't been here much either

Glad to hear from you!

As for N0bama ---Time will tell.
I don't trust how 3 billion dollar stimulus TO: political special interest groups
Is going to help Americans.
I heard that if they had Americas interest at heart they could have just given each American $10 thousand.
Also the things hidden in the 1,1+++ pages are scary and nobody has read through the entire thing.
Ask again in three and five years

I could get used to the idea of a Confederate Party really easy; they were right, you know, and I'm not talking about slavery, which was very wrong. As for Obama, he's still in the Twilight Zone with his side-kick, the teleprompter. Wonder who writes his material?

Lol, hey guys. :)

I'm here and my floor mates are averaging 90 or so, and I'm 66--we have a huge generation gap going. They are really nice and the staff is much younger so I can talk to them about some stuff, but of course, not in depth like you guys in politics, sex, and Christianity/Religion/Atheism. :D

Great getting meals like in a restaurant... so far, the cooking is good, thank heavens.

My hours are totally changed around. Now I get up at 6 and don't stay up half the night... it is hospital hours for that due to medication demands.

I really love it here.

AND, GUESS WHAT?

Nick the cat is here with me!!

Go Obama... CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE :D

We own a gun shop, I cannot disclose the website as it would constitute advertising. As of 1/20/09 everyone spent every dollar on guns and gun safes. As of February 1, 2009, we are forced to consider Chapter 11.

I was at the gun range last week (shot my first gun last week and loved it) and I actually got into this conversation and I asked the owner why he can not get any stock I asked if it was because of Obama he said yes but no. He said everyone is nervous that Obama is going to take their guns away so people are buying faster then the manufactures can keep up with. Is that what is happening at your shop.

I admit I know nothing about guns except what I learned last week with how to properly handle and discharge a gun.

It seems that the ammunition for the guns is the problem. I read where the Remington plant was only operating so many hours a week making the bullets for the guns.

And as far as I can see O is not doing anything for this country but bringing it to its knees financially. He is a moron and so is his wife. He can't even welcome visiting heads of state from other countries properly. His incompetence is quite entertaining.

Choux, you need to take more meds and go back to the Twilight Zone. Reality is not your cup of tea, dear.

O's approval ratings are tanking and will continue to tank.

All the bank bailout money has gone to Israel. All the stimulus money has gone into offshore accounts. The American public is catching on to this lame puppet. What's going to happen when he is forced to give up his original birth certificate showing he is and was ineligible to hold the position of Senator let alone President of the United States? More and more military personnel are also demanding his birth certificate.

He will sooner or later be forced into the show and tell show.

Obama's Gun Ban List Is Out
Alan Korwin - Author Gun Laws Of America
GunLaws.com
3-12-9

Here it is, folks, and it is bad news. The framework for legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us. They really do not believe you need anything more than a brick to defend your home and family. Look at the list and see how many you own. Remember, it is registration, then confiscation. It has happened in the UK, in Australia, in Europe, in China, and what they have found is that for some reason the criminals do not turn in their weapons, but will know that you did.

Remember, the first step in establishing a dictatorship is to disarm the citizens.

Gun-ban list proposed. Slipping below the radar (or under the short-term memory cap), the Democrats have already leaked a gun-ban list, even under the Bush administration when they knew full well it had no chance of passage (HR 1022, 110th Congress). It serves as a framework for the new list the Brady's plan to introduce shortly. I have an outline of the Brady's current plans and targets of opportunity. It's horrific. They're going after the courts, regulatory agencies, firearms dealers and statutes in an all out effort to restrict we the people. They've made little mention of criminals. Now more than ever, attention to the entire Bill of Rights is critical. Gun bans will impact our freedoms under search and seizure, due process, confiscated property, states' rights, free speech, right to assemble and more, in addition to the Second Amendment. The Democrats current gun-ban-list proposal (final list will be worse):

(iv) a shotgun with a revolving cylinder.
Frames or receivers for the above are included, along with conversion kits.
Attorney General gets carte blanche to ban guns at will: Under the proposal, the U.S. Attorney General can add any "semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General."

Note that Obama's pick for this office, Eric Holder, wrote a brief in the Heller case supporting the position that you have no right to have a working firearm in your own home. In making this determination, the bill says, "there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event." In plain English this means that ANY firearm ever obtained by federal officers or the military is not suitable for the public.

The last part is particularly clever, stating that a firearm doesn't have a sporting purpose just because it can be used for sporting purpose -- is that devious or what? And of course, "sporting purpose" is a rights infringement with no constitutional or historical support whatsoever, invented by domestic enemies of the right to keep and bear arms to further their cause of disarming the innocent.

The sharp decrease in gun related death and violence since stricter gun control laws were bought in down under here completely refute this comment.

I'm not going to argue with you about your right to own a gun. I understand its in your culture and almost everyone believes that right should never be denied. We see it different down under here and despite what you think we feel safer without them.

However your claims that criminals with guns have us all running scared is just plain wrong and the facts and statistics can support this.

Glad you are back.

Oh, and about the "confederate party"

Democratic Party (http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/USAdemocratic.htm)

The Republican Party was established at Ripon, Wisconsin in 1854 by a group of former members of the Whig Party and the Free-Soil Party. Its original founders were opposed to slavery and called for the repeal of the Kansas-Nebraska and the Fugitive Slave Law. Early members thought it was important to place the national interest above sectional interest and the rights of individual States.

Over the next few years the Republican Party emerged as the main opposition party to the Democratic Party in the North. However, it had little support in the South.. .

During the presidency of James Buchanan, the Democrats split over the issue of slavery. At its convention at Charleston in April, 1860, Stephen A. Douglas was the choice of most northern Democrats but was opposed by those in the Deep South. When Douglas won the nomination, Southern delegates decided to hold another convention in Baltimore and in June selected John Beckenridge of Kentucky as their candidate. The situation was further complicated by the formation of the Constitutional Union Party and the nomination of John Bell of Tennessee as its presidential candidate.

Abraham Lincoln won the presidential election with 1,866,462 votes (18 free states) and beat Stephen A. Douglas (1,375,157 - 1 slave state), John Beckenridge (847,953 - 13 slave states) and John Bell (589,581 - 3 slave states).

Are you 166 and not 66, that may explain your beliefs. :D;) Just kidding !
