I bought a used GE monogram refrigerator (42 wide,25 cu ft) a few years ago. It has no manuals. At the moment it runs but is not getting cold. It has shrader(sp) valves installed in and out of the compressor. The low pressure side reads about 2-3psi. When running. I was told that there is a data plate installed that gives total ounces of freon required in ounces for the system. But I am unable to find that guy! The sysem requires 134A.
Should I add freon to weight requirements, readings of the low/high pressure side, or temps?
I added 6-8 ounces of freon and the low pressure side reads 5 psi when running, which helped, but I am concerned about adding more until I find requirements and levels for system.

Good luck!
