I'd make that new TEE a new Wye. I am also pretty sure the new 2009 plumbing code now calls for your new drain to be 3", not 2". The shape of your plan looks fine and I will see if the code has gone into effect, you are likely OK with 2"

OK the 2009 code is in print but I am not buying a copy at over $100. Call your building department and ask what code they are accepting in your area. They will likely still go with the previous code.

Hi again... sorry it took so long to post an answer to this one. I thought Milo got it!

Anyway, Ballenger has proposed a 3" drain here. As he has also suggested, until he can confirm that this code has actually passed somewhere stick with the 2"... I am sure you will be fine.

This is an involved answer. I don't use a double wye/45 combo. fitting here. I might use a double sanitary tee, but not a double wye/45 combo... and even then if clog occurs in drain line it is difficult to snake the drain as most of the time the snake ends up crossing the sanitary tee fitting instead of going down the drain... can be a pain.

What everyone is concerned about here is venting each fixture. I would prefer to see you pipe this as presented in my drawing below. Here I use individual sanitary tee fittings ( the 2" sanitary tee fitting is not pointed too, but is present) and run a separate vent for the washing machine... connects back into sink vent as drawn.

Otherwise, if your area permits a double wye/45 combo. fitting may work best..?

Let me know what you think here...

Here's the dry fit. I did it like massplumber2008 lay it out , except for where the vent ties in. He said to go with 48" above finished floor. This is more like 66 ".
If I don't hear anything back, I'm going to glue it up.
Thanks Jim

Hi Jim:

I'd prime/cement it up as it is as well...nice job!

Everything is hooked up, and I did 5 loads of laundry. There were no leaks and the stand pipe drained out just fine. So I put up the drywall.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their input. I learned a few thing along the way.
Thanks Again
Jim
