My housemate who is a bonified proud trashpicker has placed a newlooking microwave in our kitchen. I'm ver5y weary of discarded apliances to start with. The outside apears flawless but inside is rusted and looks like a fire occurred.paqint crumbling and falling off. My question is is this safe by ANY strech of the imagination? Exposed rusted metal and all. He sayes its fine and safe, I begg to differ. Help:confused:

Have it tested especially around the door for leakage.

I'd throw it out. Microwaves are nothing to guess about. Have your friend trashpick a different microwave that doesn't look so bad on the inside. Not knowing the history of this appliance, I'd say pass on it. Do you want to radiate yourself and your home just for a free appliance? I hope not.
