Hello, I have heard that when I am 17 with a full uk drivers license I am eligible to buy a road legal quadbike, I am toying with this idea when I turn 17 with my drivers license but I have a few legal points to clear up.

What is the law to having a pilon passenger?

Are there any tests other than the drivers licence that I must complete in order to ride on the road?

Are there any power limits? for instance on a motorbike (not accurate) at the age of 16 you can have a 50 cc bike but at 17 it goes to like 100 cc.

Will the insurance be fairly cheap?

Thank you very much if anyone can answer any of these and I look foreword to reading your answers!

Hello Stan:

Here in the US, the Department of Motor Vehicles issues a pamphlet explaining all the laws for dirvers. It has a section for motorcycles and quads.

Hopefully, your department has such a publication, cause we for sure can't help.
