I'm sorry to say this, but unless you are breastfeeding, it's going to be hard to shift the hip and thigh fat. Nature has stored it to feed your baby, and without a baby, it is really hard to lose it.

Your best bet is watching what you eat, particularly your portion size, and base your diet on fresh whole foods. Don't get fooled by low fat processed food, it doesn't work. You need a fair bit of fat in your diet, particularly things like oily fish and lots of vegetables.

Then start exercising. Lots of walking, cycling, running, dancing etc. Join a gym and lift weights. Do lots of squats, lunges, deadlifts, step-ups and stiffleg deadlifts. Spinning classes are good too.

Try not to obsess too much about it. You may not like the look of your hips and thighs, but if you have fat, it's the healthiest way to carry it.

Liposuction dear is the only way to lose those things. Its painful but worth it, I read somewhere though that if you can reduce your body far to 18% then your body would naturally start using the fat stored on your hips n thighs, read this just yesterday as a matter of fact.
