... what??

We're going to need a story. Who is "he" and why is "he" in trouble for going to a store?

By my understanding he was working at a super market and right next door is a dollar general he stop by to get shirts and socks and his counslor said that he wasn't suppose to go there so she arrested him and when he was booked he had money in his pocket from his check he had just cashed so then he was charged for not turning his check so he said to me he couldn't turn it in because he went to jail I hope you understanding me because I'm not to good with this thanks for responding back to me

"By your understanding" makes me think that this is what you were told, which may not be the truth.

Why was he not allowed at Dollar General? Had he stolen from there in the past?

I assume by "counselor" you actually mean "probation officer".. How did she find out he went to Dollar General?

Why did he bother cashing his check if he knew he was supposed to turn it in?

Well, that covers it. Now we'll wait for answers.

He was sent to restution after he got done serving his time so they allow you to go and look for a job so he got hired at a grocery store which is beside the dollar store and she said he was in violation because he was not suppose to be there when he got off work he suppose to come straight to the restution center which he told her that he didn't no but he also was in violation as well for cashing his work check he suppose to turn it to the center so they locked dre up until clarksdalr,Mississippi come to get him so they went to pascagoula Mississippi to pick him up so he has an hearing with the judge for march17 I'm I making since

Yes, you are making sense.

This is what I think you are saying. He served his time but now has to live at some sort of residential center, what you call a "restitution house."

He is supposed to come right back to the house after work and not make any stops along the way. He is also supposed to turn his paycheck over to the restitution house.

Instead he worked, went ot the Dollar Store, cashed his paycheck - and got "caught" by his probation officer and violated.

So far am I right?

So now you want to know what will happen to him?

He could go back to jail to serve his complete term; he could be sentenced for violation of the rules of his probation; he could get a warning.

How am I doing? I think we are both talking about the same thing and you honestly are doing fine now that you've explained things.

:o:yes you are right but have something else for you to exsplain to me please the counselor by the way her name is mrs.coon she always phone me to tell me stuff like I wouldn't help him pay his fines because I figure you have to pay your bills since he's not there so don't worry about him he's going to be all right so dre wrote me and told me that she doesn't like him so I ask him why?he told me that he want get out his place with her if you know what I mean and all the checks that he made when working at popeye's never was accountable for so I had to pay all of his fines which where840.00 dollars so I have all the checks number that I prevouly ask her to send me from when he was working for popeye's that never made it on no parts of his fines it was a setup why I say that is I told her how much does dre owe and like I told you before she said 200.00 but that wasn't true he owe the 840.00 that's what he owe when he first got there so I call her to ask what happen to the checks from popeyes she said she will check on it and call me back and she never did and didn't answer my calls so he then got that job at the grogery store and I guess he figure that they wasn't going to turn it in but I told him I still would've turn it in even if that so I'm so said because he should've been home and now he back in jail even though I pad the fines it still probably want matter I just thought to shared that with you it feels better when you have someone to talk to this my first time doing this but its fun thank you for listen to me god bless you:o

Hello:

Do I think that Mississippi would take advantage of an uneducated parolee and take their money??

I DO!

I would take your list of checks and talk to the parole supervisor. If you can hire an attorney, I certainly WOULD.

I realize money is tight - in fact, it's tight all over the Country right now. Do you know if "he" qualifies for any type of free legal aid? If you call the local Bar Association (here's why it's called the Bar Association. A person who wants to be an Attorney goes to Law School and then is admitted to what is called the "Bar," which simply means that person has passed examinations and is now licensed to practice law. It's a complicated name but that's what it means and a lot of people don't understand that) for your County (and, as I said, it's just an office for Attorneys - it's called the X County Bar Association) and ask them for help they will know which organizations can help you with this.

Whatever Court "he" appeared in should also be able to help you with this but getting someone to listen to you might be difficult.

I can only guess that the money has to be accounted for at some point in time but, as you said, in the meantime "he" sits in jail while this plays out. It sounds like he was trying to obey the rules and get the fines paid. Hopefully someone will hear you and see this as a mistake and move on.

In the meantime you have to just keep trying to get someone to listen to you - and I know that's very, very difficult.

Of course, if you could pay an Attorney if would be helpful but if you can't there ARE Attorneys out there who can be assigned - you just have to find them.

Good luck- come back with any questions and to let us know how you are doing.

I have my fingers crossed for you and will wait for you to come back and keep us informed. Remember to be calm and express clearly, as you did here once you sort of got into things.

I think it's going to be okay and that if it's NOT okay, you have options - but let's keep fingers crossed that it goes well.

I hope "he" knows how lucky he is to have you in his corner. You rock!

Honestly, we all work together - I am no better at answering questions than any of my cohorts on this board. I just got here first!

But I appreciate your comments - a lot of people never even say thank you so your comments mean a lot to me.

And please - visit the site and join us. Now that you have been through this I'll be you can help someone and that's how this works. You learn something (and I learn something new all the time) and then you use that knowledge to help someone else.

Again - believe it or not, I've had a rough day today and your words have touched me deeply.

Peace.

I do wish you luck, I know here in Georgia we would call them a half way house or even a probation center that allows a work release program.

The rules are very clear, all of the money from each check has to be returned, and they handle it, you have to pay them for your room and board, you have to pay on fines and they put money back to save some of it.

There is a long line of people wanting in, and normally here in Georgia, if you violate it any rule , even little, they send you back to jail ( prison) and there really is no judge or court here in GA for it, it is merely handled by a committee within the board of corrections

And all you can do is the best you can do and hope and pray for a good result - and the 17th is coming up very, very soon.

Hang in there, be aware that nothing is guaranteed and stay hopeful.
