I downloaded an application for my BB and extracted the files on winrar and went to my desktop manager to try and upload them on my phone. I click on application loader and then find my file I saved it as and click open and a message pops up saying " no additional applications for your device were found." my friend was the one who showed this to me and it works on his BB 8130 but I don't know why it won't work on mine. ANy body can help me please??

I believe it the Firmware which needs to be updated on the Blackberry as it is not supported

You mention you extracted it with winrar. Actually, that could be your problem right there if it was a .jar file. Try this, leave the file compressed if it is a .jar file, and use the Media Manager in the Desktop Manager software to transfer the .jar file onto your phones memory card. Then use your phone to look in the Media section for the file, at first you will not see it, you must press the blackberry button to the left of the trackball to pull up a menu, select explore. Now you will see the .jar file. Click on it, and you will have a choice to select download. This will now install the application on your phone.

This works if it is a .jar file. If yours is not, it may not be any help. Good luck.

I could be wrong about the actual extension, but I think the application loader will only load it if it is in .cod format. Otherwise, it will not see it to install it. I think.. :rolleyes:
