Start by testing or jumping out the cold control. If that does not allow it to start then it is on to the compressor. To test the compressor it takes tools that most homeowners do not have so you might have to call for professional on site service. I am sure you already checked this but make sure there is voltage at the outlet where the freezer plugs into.
