I was staying(with my wife) in the U.S strating from November 2008 to January 2009. (only 3 months). I have a valid SSN. As I need to apply for a Tax return in U.S, do I need to apply ITIN number for my spouse? I heard that if we stay less than 180 days
Then no need to go for ITIN for Spouse... Is it True..

Can any of you please help me on this..

For 2008 you will file nonresident tax return. You do not need ITIN for spouse.
