Hi,

I got married last year in a foreign country and then came to US as a non-resident. My wife has never come to US and is working in my native country. How should I file my tax returns as? From the information I gathered so far, I need to file as a single. Is this correct? What will be most beneficial status in cases like me? If my wife comes here and gets her ITIN/SSN in the next year, would we be able to do joint filing?
