I apologize if this is not in the right category,I know its either this or plumbing.
Here goes well I have a gravity system, back boiler behind the gas fire, with a copper cylinder tank in the airing cupboard&a header tank in the loft.
All of a sudden radiators are not heating up at all when I turn the central heating switch on.
I have bled the radiators quite a few times, which kick started one radiator upstairs, not working with any others.then I find when I put the hot water on and only the hot water on the rad upstairs is heating up even hotter, so the only form of heating is the gas fire in the living room, which sad to say is playing up also.I have to watch it like a hawk as it goes out completely on its own, unless I have it on very low
I would be ever so grateful for any help you could give me,as I live in the northeast
And snow is on its way again.
Regards Alison

I'm not super familiar with your system and its doesn't sound like a regular boiler that I'm use to here.

I would call for heat to get it fired up and start with the lowest radiator on bleeding and work your way up to the highest.

Then work your way back down and go back up one more time.

Bleeding any radiators takes a lot of patience.

Always do it with the system calling for heat.

Check to see what the pressure is for the system/ 8 to 12 lbs is the beginning standard.

Check to see if its low in water.

More so than not its air that got into the lines/radiators

Get back after that and see what more we can figure out here.
