I have a Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan that works via remote or by wall mount. I had an electrician here to fix the wall mount. My remote works fine however the wall mounted buttons do not. He told me that I probably have to re-enter the Key Code?
I don't know what it is because it was already here when I moved in. How do I find out the key code?

There's not a key code, there are a set of switches that have to match the fan and remote. It doesn't sound like the electrician fixed the wall control he should have set them correctly! Remove the switch from the wall and make sure the set of switches match the identical ones in the remote.

Most fans have a receiver in the canopy of the fan for the remote. This is located at the ceiling mount. It usually has a code dial on the outside of it.

If you look inside of your hand held remote itself it should have the same thing. At least that's how they are on the fans that I sell. Make sure both the receiver and the hand held remote both have the same codes. You can usually make a code yourself. Hampton Bay is a Home Depot only fan so Im not that familiar with them. You might check with their fan expert if they have one, yeah right.lol

I hope this helps you out.

There is no dial, it is a set of 4 or more tiny switches.

I don't know about Home Depot, but this it the fan expert right here.
