Please let me know about something. Both me and my girl-friend are worried with this matter. I had sex with my girl-friend yesterday. We do not know very much (almost nothing) about birth controlling. So she started taking birth-control pills (within less than an hour we had sex). Do you think this will help to prevent her from pregnancy? My girl-friend did not start to take pills on the day her period. Her expected menstruation date is on around 15 March. Is there any effect on her period because she is taking these pills? Please let me know the answers. Also tell me what to do now to stop her pregnancy? My girl-friend is totally depressed and so do I. None of us want that thing to to happen right now.

For your help we will be ever grateful.

For birth control to be most effective it needs to be taken for at least a month. At least that's what my doctor told me. If she started taking the pills after the matter it probably won't do you any good. There's plan B but that's supposed to be taken as soon as possible. At this point you're going to have to wait it out and see. If you don't want children yet, you should learn about birth control or stop having sex.

If you hurry, plan b might still work!

The pill is most effective after you've taken it for a month, take it regularly, never miss a pill and use a condom as well.

You'll have to play the waiting game and hope for the best. If you get lucky and she's not pregnant then please, take precautions from now on, birth control pill and a condom, always!

Know that no form of birth control is 100%, even with the pill and a condom your girlfriend could still get pregnant, so, if you aren't ready to be a parent you aren't ready to be having sex.

Good luck, I hope it works out.

I had to spread the rep, but exactly!
