Yes, commonly called the Castor Oil Plant. A very popular garden variety known for its large green blue leaves. Four beans off this plant can kill a horse.

Experienced gardners know what this plant is capable of and if guarded properly is not harmful.

I hope this isn't a plant you can buy at a nursery and plant in your yard, unintentionally killing something or some one. Is there a warning on it? There are so many people who just buy plants because they are pretty and don't look into what they are or how they grow. People and animals shouldn't die because of mine or any ones ignorance.

Yes, dahlia, this is a bean you can buy from a nursery in a package. An old fashioned plant that grows large with HUGE LEAVES.

It is only dangerous to cats and I don't believe a cat would actually go near one and eat a seed.

Thank you tickle, I feel better.
I always know what I'm buying and if it's going to work in my garden/yard, but that kind of worried me.
