My bladder tank is a V60 aqua-air, I've had it for 14 years and get my water out of the lake. The pressure in my house has become terrible. I've checked the pressure in the tank and it was 29.5 lbs. could the tank be worn out or could it have dirt in it? HELP Thanks for the help ahead of time.

Did you check pressure at tank while system was shut off and drained? If you get your water from the lake, I'm betting you have a filter somewhere that is plugged. Is pressure constant or does it raise and lower quickly over and over again? Please let me know a little more about your system. The tank won't usually result in low pressure, it will usually make pump cycle on and off quickly. Lets here what your thinking. Good day.

The pump pumps up the tank normally, I do have a filter system on the line after the tank and pump to the rest of the house. I have it turned to bypass. The pipes in my house are all copper. I turned the filter off because when I turned it on it was leaking. I don't know what other information I can give you. Thanks

Do some faucets have better pressure than others. Or all all faucets low on pressure. Since you have bypassed filter(on lake water) there is a pretty good chance that aerators, shower heads, etc have become plugged. Let me know, we will try to get this thing licked.

I.m sorry Im not very good at using the computer. It seems to me that the pressure is better in my kitchen than the bathroom, which is closer to the pump and tank. I also checked the pressure gage, as I'm drying clothes and I believe it comes on at 20 psi and turns off at 50 psi. When I have a shower in the morning its like being in a gentle rain shower. Would the pressure of the pump make a difference?

There should only be a twenty psi difference from cut in to cut out. Sounds like you have a 30 diff. May need to adjust or replace pressure switch. But,, I would first take off shower head and see if there isn't some gunk in the inlet side. Clean it out and reinstall shower head. Let me know if pressure in shower improves. While you have the shower head off, turn the water on and see what kink of pressure you have.

Its very hard to trouble shoot a problem like this from here. It may be time to call in a plumber to see what is happening. But I will try to help you figure this out one step at a time if you wish.

Thanks for all your encouragrement, I reaaly appreciate it. I went to town to day and bought a new pressure switch, new filtering system and I have a new fill valve for the back of the toilet which I need to install, if that doesn't work, I'll call Joe the Plummer After I also check the shower head. When all of this is done I will let you know how I've made out I do work so it may take me awhile. Thanks a million.
