I have a JVC AV-27BX4 TV purchased in the early 90's and we have a satellite dish tuner. We bought a DVD Recorder yesterday and I hooked it up according to the diagram and even spoke with a customer service rep who made sure I had connected the cables correctly. Turning the TV on, I can see the TV programs, but when I touch the SETUP button the DVD Recorder remote control, nothing happens. The customer service rep said I needed to contact the manufacturer of my TV for another input. The sources available on my TV are cable, video-1, and video-2. I use the video-1 input for the tuner and, when my older DVD player is connected, I use video-2 for its' input. Aargh! How can I get my TV to recognize the DVD Recorder?

Thanks!

Never mind! I figured it out. I plugged the output lines into the TV input line 2, which I had used formerly for an old DVD player, rather than input line 1.
