Does anyone have any input as to why a hot water valve (tub) newly installed when closed still trickles water out the downspout, more than a drip. I'm going to attempt to remove again today any immediate advice appreciated. Thanks

Hi crazyleggs
When u changed the valve, did u check the seat. Without more info sounds like seat has a groove in it.

Hope this helps
Good luck

I replaced the valve a little while, a week or so ago I noticed I had to turn the valve much more to get any water flow. A day or two after that shutting the valve would not turn the water off. In removing the valve it was very hard to get out and the washers were toast. I went and bought a new valve plus a repair kit (just in case), installed new valve this time replaced the seat too still a flow not at much but more than a simple drip I'm going to do it again today but I'm at a loss as to what's going on

Thanks for the help, any ideas are appreciated
