Hi all,
I have had the implanon in for almost 8months now, and have not had any problems with it, except irregular periods up until now. Unfortunately over the past few weeks I have noticed that I have gained weight mainly across my stomach and thighs, and my stomach has become very hard, I put this dwn to water retention originally, my boobs have also almost doubled in size causing nasty purple stretch marks, they have also become very tender, especially when it is cold, I have also been feeling very sick, and have developed an aversion to many foods I would normally enjoy, and have instead found a new love of fish, (which I would not normally enjoy) I have also been getting creamy white discharge quite a lot, that has no smell at all. I have done some research and discovered that all of these things can point to pregnancy, and that the implanon is not completely successful in stopping pregnancy.
I have also recently began feeling a very heavy feeling in my stomach, and have a 'butterfly-type' feeling in my stomach too.
How can I know for sure if I am pregnant if the implanon hormones will block the pregnancy hormones and therefore give me a false negative?
I am starting to get very worried, and need an answer :(
