I am not the original questioner but I also have a 34 Thousand dollar bill. It was issued in 1934.There is no letter following the date. It is signed by the treasurer of the United States. It is listed as a Federal Reserve Note ( I cannot see where the bank issuing is located). How do you rate the condition of the bill? To me it looks as though it is in good condition.

I have a $1000.00 bill and the federal reserve bank it came from was Chicago IL. It just says series of 1934 with no letters following after. What can you tell me about that? One signature on front is from a henry morgenthau Jr. or something like that (secretary of treasury) and I can't quite make out the other one. What can you tell me from that? It would appear to be in a Very Fine condition or VF as the site you provided explains.
