I'm 20. My dad got me this job in Logistics. I'm an imports agent contracted by a really large fortune 500 company. The job is easy and the money is good but I just feel like its not for me. I don't know anyone my age who makes as much money as I do. Last year I closed the year with a salary of about $49k. But the job just doesn't make me happy. I feel like there should be more. I don't like the idea that I'll be here forever. That's just not how I want to spend my life. But my family and friends think I'm crazy for wanting to quit a job like the one I have with great benefits, pay, and job security.
On the side because I am a money hungry individual I am a stripper. My 2 jobs have never collided before but now they are. Someone who used to work with me but got fired saw me at the strip club. He said he wouldn't say a word but I think he will. No one would believe him though I don't think. I love the money at the strip club and I love the job but people look down on me because of it and I don't like that part.
I want to quit my job and just dance and go to school so I can figure out who I really am and what I really want to be because I have no idea what I really want. I just want to happy with my life.
Is it crazy if I leave my job? Do you think I'll get sucked into the stripper life style if I do and not complete my goal of finding a career that better suits me? I'm already experimenting with drugs (alot of strippers do drugs).

Discipline is the key word for your new job as a stripper. You won't get sucked in if you have a goal and a way to get there and education is your goal and you will make the money to do that.
YOu are only 20, but sounds like you have already put some years on your personality so that is why you are questing. Drugs won't get your there, but why do you feel that drugs are the only option in the stripper world ? Is that what they need to get through a night? Discipline, girl, discipline.
Follow you heart if you feel you can support yourself without compromising your 'self'. You can stay at something you are unhappy doing, it will destroy you and this may put you in the wrong direction, not the stripping. As you say, someone has already seen you. Maybe on of many in an occupation such as yours.

What career do you want,
Do you make more money as a stripper or in the Logistics,
** I hope the stipper pays more most I know make way over 50 K a year,
So if so, you should be making 100,000 plus a year in both jobs??
But what career do you want to do ? If you want to be a nurse, or a car mechanic, can you not do one job and go to school for the other.

I don't want either as a career. I don't know what I can do that'll make me happy. But I feel like I'm just wasting away my youth in logistics. I don't know any strippers who make that much money... it might just be the area your in. I only dance certain thursdays Friday and saturdays. Not all the time.

I don't feel like drugs are my only option but everyone just keeps telling me if I quit my job I'll just get sucked in and get addicted to drugs. That's a repeat story for a lot of people who chose to be strippers. Being in that atmosphere and staying sober when everyone is messed up, having fun and offering you drugs is sooooo hard! Bu t your right I just need some discipline... how I will get that I do not know...

Chrissy, you need a break to do a lot of thinking. I would suggest a good long holiday (with someone special) if not on you own. It won't be a cop out but you obviously need some direction and that needs a lot of thought. Can you talk to your pastor ? Someone not involved in either one of your occupations. Someone impartial (as we are obviously).
In order to get some discipline, to learn discipline you must get a job that teaches you that you have to work under certain restrictions. Then, trust me, it happens !
Good luck, I hope more of us tune in to give you more ideas and direction. You will have to sift through it all though and make up your mind, but, I still think you have to get away from normal surroundsing to THINK .
