My lovely sister-in-law suggested giving a money tree to my parents as a gift for their 50th wedding anniversary. This would be a gift given by three siblings and the grandchildren. What is a proper amount to give for such an occasion. p.s. only one sibling is helping financially pay for the anniversary celebration which is quite large, no one else "had the money to contribute". I am looking for an honest and precise dollar amount to deliver back to her. Thank u!

Are the grandchildren adults with jobs?

There are 8 grandchildren, 4 of whom are working and have bf/gf that would chip in as well. 4 are under tha age of 14 and would be included in with the single mother, whom is one of the siblings.

It's difficult to answer your question without some knowledge of the financial situations of the family members. To some people, $100 is a lot of money. To others it's not.
