I moved in 2 weeks ago to my boyfriend's home for the rental of $500.00/month. As it turns out he seems to have 2 different personalities and he is kicking me out of his home after I had the deadbolt and regular lock locked when he tried to enter. He got so pissed that he kicked the door down before I could answer it and ruined his door. He said I needed to leave immediately and also pay for the door. He said I was deliberately locking him out when in fact it is just a habit to lock the doors for me. Obviously I do want to leave asap but have nowhere to go now. He said he was going to change the locks tomorrow so I wouldn't have a key to get in. All of my things are here and I don't know what to do. What are my rights if any. We did not have a written rental agreement. All I have is documentation that I kept of the money that was exchanged for the rent and money that he has borrowed and not returned. I've only been here 2 weeks. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your time in this matter.

He can not legally lock you out, on the other hand, did you change locks so he did not have a key?? The reason he kicked the door in.

But then after he locks you out, all you can do at that point is sue him for a illegal eviction.
