I am replacing a white rodgers thermostat with a Hunter 40170. The wires have all been marked but the old thermostat does not have wire connections for the B and O terminals. These are for heat and cooling reversing valves. Where do I go from here. Will it work without wires in these terminals? I believe the wire bundle has two unused wires but I have no idea what they are for.

If the old thermostat did not use B and O then why do you need to use them now? Are you replacing your heating system?
Post system info. Type, brand, and complete exact model numbers.

Be sure to remember how your white rogers was wired,,
Cause with the hunter tstat you`ll be replacing it a very few months
If it even works at all
