Ok I am sorry for asking but I have read the book but I am so confused lol. I tried taking pics of my kids jumping in the house because the main reason I bought the camera is for the kids sports. All the pics I took were blurry. I tried messing with the setting but still couldn't figure out how to get the action shots clear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance...

The problem is likely that you don't have enough light to capture fast motion inside your house. It would be best to use flash to provide added light.

Without flash, you need to set the following settings:

1) Use the Aperture Priority mode so you can set the camera to a fixed f-stop. Use the smallest number (biggest aperture) for your lens. It also helps to have a "fast" lens, with a maximum aperture such as f/2.8.

2) Use the highest ISO the camera offers, e.g. ISO 1600. Remember to reset the ISO when you are done as you do NOT want to use a high ISO except when absolutely necessary.

3) Shoot in RAW mode. This is VERY important, especially with high ISO shots so you can do noise-reduction in the raw conversion software. After you do the noise reduction then you can export or save the photo as a jpeg file.
