The URL that you posted, HTML Code May Be Printed Instead of Web Page or Message (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;175322), gives information on the cause of the problem.

According to that site, your computer has "associated" one or more "temporary file types" (the file extension is .TMP) with a program such as Notepad.

The directions printed under the "Resolution" tab say:

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
2. On the View menu, click Folder Options, and then click the File Types tab.
3. In the Registered File Types box, click each file type one at a time, and then view the file extension under "File type details."
4. If the file extension is TMP, click Remove, and then click OK.
