Would anyone know what the letters FHT signify when they are on the back of a mantel clock? Who would have manufactured it - and where? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi, 2doggy2!

I believe that it's the marking of the retailer representing the retailer. There is a clock listed with that marking on the following site.

ART DECO SLATE & MARBLE GARNITURE MANTLE CLOCK FHT WOW on eBay, also Post-1900, Mantel Carriage Clocks, Antique Clocks, Antiques (end time 12-Feb-09 20:31:18 GMT) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ART-DECO-SLATE-MARBLE-GARNITURE-MANTLE-CLOCK-FHT-WOW_W0QQitemZ300291789370QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Clo cks?hash=item300291789370&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1684%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318)

Thanks!
