This website has been so awesome in answering all my questions! I have just one more, hopefully my last. I don't know if this would make any difference but my gut says it might. Here goes. I have posted about a basement bathroom and my question has to do with the movign of my 4" pVC stack from it's current location to another one. CURRENTLY the waste is dumped into the stack via a 3" PVC pipe by means of a 90 turn straight down -- to a 45 turn which subsequently goes into the Y on the stack. My first question is when I move the stack do I have to keep the 45 in there or can I just angle the 90 turn at a 45 angle to meet up with the Y on the stack? Is there a rule or code for the presence of that 45? The second question is similar except I may be making things worse. CURRENTLY, at the bottom where the stack enters the floor it simply makes a long sweep 90 turn and makes its way to the street sewer line (there is, however another horizontal 90 downstream before the street, but I will not be changing that). My future modification of the stack will be such that the stack will be closer to the basement wall thus requiring an extra horizontal turn. So, it would drop to the floor, make a long sweep 90 to the horizontal, travel a couple of feet to meet up with the current line that eventually makes its way to the street. Again, should I hook up the 90sweep with another 90 combo sweep or should I angle the 90 sweep at a 45 angle and hook up with a Y. The latter is more "straight" of a path, but the former would smoother. I don't know if that makes any difference. The reason for the combo or Yis because the other arm would be for the new bathroom. Sorry for the long post. I attached a picture to help clarify things. Thanks in advance again! If you can't read the labels in the pic I can e-mail it to whomever wants a better look.

Steve
